West Bank Community Garden

Location: West Bank, S 4th St.

West Bank Community Garden is a Living Laboratory dedicated to growing food, building community, and educating gardeners through rewarding work. In 2014, UMN students found that the West Bank lacked multidimensional greenspaces. On Earth Day 2015, a group of students broke ground and created the West Bank Community Garden. Since then students, staff, and community members have grown organic produce and perennial flowers. WBCG has 10 private plots and 4 communal plots. Vegetables and herbs grown in the communal plots are donated to local organizations in need of fresh produce. WBCG also welcomes students in need of service learning hours for classes, such as FDSY 1016W, to volunteer at the garden.

West Bank Community Garden is located between Wilson Library, Carlson School of Management, and Rarig Center. Find directions here.
